Why won't Microsoft Office retain my password? I keep entering it and check
the box to save but on every send / receive I am prompted to enter my
password.

And if you have Outlook 2002 or earlier and have Vista, you have to upgrade
to get rid of this problem.

Hi, Password problem never occured when using Outlook 2002 (SP3) with Win
2000 and XP, but on Vista (Home Premium) this is happening!! Will installing
Office 2007 resolve this problem? Or, are there only "Outlook Upgrades"
available? Link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684/en-us does not tell
"upgrade" option.

Thanks

I am having the same problem, but I am using Outlook 2003 with Windows XP
Professional. I have also downloaded all the updates and service packs.

Is there a reason you simply posted a quote of someone else's message?

Have you tried the suggestions that have been posted here so many times in
the past? Did you search first before posting? In particular, did you try
this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684/en-us

Is there a reason to be rude to him in at least two responses?
I've noticed this from you before.
You act as if he is a 3rd grader.

Clearly you don't understand the definition of "rude". And for all I know,
he may BE a third grader. Can you tell someone's age by reading bits on a
screen? I can't.

Hey even your response to me is rude. Thanks for proving my point.
Yes, I know the definition, and you personify it. It gives the MVP program
a bad mark.
I've stated my point. This is not the forum for an endless debate of online
manners, so this is the end of it for me.
I'll look elsewhere for the answer to my inquiry.
