Keeps asking for MS Office XP CD, & I don't have it.

Dan L.

I recently put a lot of updates on my system, since the
system hadn't been updated since 2001 (SP 1). Had some
trouble starting the update, but after a couple of tries,
I was able to bring the system into currency. However,
now everytime I try to launch a Microsoft product, like
Word, Excell, or Internet Explorer, etc., MSI prompts me
to put the CD in for 'Microsoft Office XP Professional'
and it is looking for 'PRORET.MSI'. I have to cancel out
of this about 5 times, then the app loads OK. I do not
have Office XP, I have Office 2000 installed.

When I look in "Install/Remove Applications" my Office
2000 apps are no longer listed there. They are still on
the computer, and I can launch them from directly from the
directory they're in.

How do I get it to stop this, and get access to my Office
applications back to "normal"?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
