Keeping track of changes in reused slides (without a server)

Hi
I'm using Powerpoint 2007. The main reason for me for switching from 2003 is
the desire to re-use my slides, that is - create a pool of slides I can then
use in several presentations.
I managed to create new presentations using slides from older ones, but I'd
like to have the new ones update when I change the original slides - so that
I don't have to go in and change every instance of a figure, a table, etc...
Does such a feature exist ?
Thanks!!

2003 lets you create a pool of slides also.

But to do what you want, you need something like a Sharepoint server with
MOSS (Microsoft Office Sharepoint Services) on top of it or another slide
manager program. I know that Slide Manager has this type of "update" and
management capability. http://www.slidemanager.biz/ Slide Executive does,
too. http://www.slideexecutive.com (You'd need at least the small business
version.) I'm sure there are others.
