Keeping the same desktop settings

I want to make the following setting on a manager's notebook computer of my
company:
He wants to use his notebook at home and at office. When he uses it at
office, he's in a W2K domain and at home not.

How can I enable him to use his notebook at home and at office, but using
the same desktop settings ? I also must to enable him to use off-line files.
Configure differents hardware profiles (home and office) is a good idea ?

Thanks,

His domain network credentials will be cached and he should still be able
to logon using those when working at home. Offline files will still be
available too. Check Help and Support for more details.

You could create a local account for him if keeping preferences intact is a
problem, however he would probably lose access to the Offline folders
attached to the other user account.

I'm not a network/domain expert - meaning that there may be more efficient
and correct ways to accomplish what you want but I think hardware profile
is not the route to go. You could ask this question in the
windowsxp.network-web group for more suggestions.
