keeping a line of info safe

I have taken over a large spreadsheet running in columns A-Q.
Each line of information as it is entered should always stay togethe
no matter what way it is sorted.
Once a horizontal line of info is entered I need it to stay together n
matter what vertical column is sorted.
Do you have to lock the cells together some way?

My question is - what is the best way to ensure this?

Any advice would be very welcome.

Hi Dave
just make sure if you sort that you have select ALL columns

Name the whole range of data 'Database'. When you add data to it use Data /
Form to do so. When you want to sort anything, click on the namebox dropdown
and select 'Database' and then do your sort. Get into this habit and you will
likely stay safe.

The other obvious thing to do is to make REGULAR backups, often.
