keep getting DCOM error calling for StiSvc when right clicking on a icon or opening some programs

Greg

Whenever I right click on a icon I get a 15 second or so delay before
context menu shows up follwed by a error in my event viewer below. Get the
same error when starting some programs such as visual basic and Dreamweaver
MX 2004.
I have WIA set for manual and all services at default. Nothing new starting
up with windows xp. Have never had any scanners or cameras installed.

Any ideas appreciated. Greg

This fixed me up. Must be the Norton Update bug. Also updated my verisign
certificate to the one that expires in 2011.

Right-click on your IE desktop icon and select:
Properties > Advanced and scroll down to the
Security heading. Uncheck the box next to
"Check for publisher's certificate revocation"
and click "apply" and reboot.
