My task bar resizes when I reboot regardless if I lock it
or not. KB 810706 suggests deploying latest service pack
for XP pro, however, I already have SP2 installed.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,

How's it possible to have a service pack installed that isn't released yet?

There is no released Service Pack 2 for WinXP. If you have somehow
installed one, it is a leaked beta version and should be uninstalled.

No you don't. It hasn't been released yet. As a matter of fact,
its beta test is just about to begin.

SP1 is the only service pack so far released.

If you see hotfixes labeled SP2, this is due to Microsoft's very
confusing naming scheme. These are candidates for inclusion in
SP2 when it is released.
