Anyone having a problem with connectivity after installing ?

You bet. I'd just done an Acronis restore of my system
(WinXP Media Center Edition, SP3 installed, using ZoneAlarm
paid version 7.0.473.000, see the thread in this group "Microsoft
Update & ZoneAlarm 7.0"), and lost connectivity as soon as
I took the latest MS updates including KB951748).

Without connectivity, I couldn't read this thread, but intuited
the MS updates _might_ have been connected, and have just
repeated the restore. Clearly, I now have connectivity. And
I won't be repeating this MS update or any other for a while.

Thanks to the responders here!

Did you attempt a rebuild of the winsock stack to see if that resolved
the issue ?
Start > Run > type in

cmd
Click OK or press Enter

At the Command Prompt, type in the below and press Enter after *each*
command

netsh winsock reset
exit

Restart the system and see if connectivity is restored.

If no joy, why not call in so that MS can get to the bottom of this issue ?
Just ignoring it doesn't mean that others will not have to suffer the
same fate as you did.
The support is FREE. Help out the community that you're part of !

I've just installed the new relevant ZoneAlarm version 7.0.483.000,
and the outstanding MIcrosoft updates.
Everything seems to be working ok so far. Thanks to ZoneAlarm for
their swift action.

How can you thank Checkpoint for their swift action since they have known
about this problem for four months?
