KB906569: Tools tab does not show

Found KB906569 this morning and installed it (Windows XP Professional
SP2). However, the new Tools tab does not show on the msconfig panel,
even after a reboot. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the MSConfig.exe file version after installing the update?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, both executables are there, with the
dates and sizes you indicated.

When I run the new msconfig.exe from the folder you specified, then it
is indeed the new one with the Tools tab. Means it runs from a
different folder when I launch it from Start->Run. Maybe my PATH setting
is incorrect?

Deleted a much older version of msconfig.exe from C:\WINDOWS, then added
C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries to the PATH.

All works fine now; thanks again!

Open Regedit.exe and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App
Paths\MSCONFIG.EXE

Double-click (default) and post the contents here.
