I've got the same problem on my Win2K machine, Cumulative Security Update
for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB832894) [...]
Shall I install the patch as discussed in the realier threads relating to
KB867801? http://patch-info.de/IE/Downloads/Q867801-WUFix.zip

Yup, the updated workaround is trying to fix WU recognition errors
for IE 6 SP1 users running Windows 2000, in case WU offers KB867801,
KB832894, KB831167 and/or KB823353 *although* KB931768 (MS07-027)
has been successfully installed on the machine already.

The detection error seems to have been fixed right now.
Please try opening the Windows Update site once more and
scan for any needed updates.

Bye,

Figure out why WU thinks you need the update and change that?

Because of "missing" hyperfluend version numbers of updates in
the "MinorVersion" key. WU suddenly insists on these values:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"MinorVersion"=";SP1;Q823353;Q832894;Q831167;Q867801;"

Otherwise it will reoffer the whole bunch of outdated "Cumulative
Updates" for IE running in Windows 2000 *although* KB931768 has
been successfully installed. It's WU beeing on error and nothing
to be fixed finally on the user's end.

The detection error seems to have been fixed right now.
