I uninstalled KB835732 because I got sick and tired of not having an IE
history. Anyone have any idea how to fix the problem with the fix?

The problem appears to be an interaction with a particular version of an
anti-virus program. So the remedy is to update or change the AV.

KB835732 and McAfee AV interact to erase my IE history?

That seems to be the common issue in people reporting an erased IE history.

Hey Bob,

Thanks for the heads up. I tried several things and here is my solution (in
case it helps others): I am running McAfee 4.5.1 SP1 and I disabled the
Internet filter only and that prevents the erasure of the IE history. I
will also try upgrading - I have a licensed copy of version 7 that I never
installed.

You're welcome.
