KB832925 my registry does not have the entries specified

I have an end user running OL2003 and is sending all his mail to a local .pst
file. Outlook was prompting and letting him know that his almost 2GB .pst
was too big. After leaving the end users desk I found KB Article 832925.
Two Items of Interest:

1) I did not find the Outlook directory in Current_User. I found it in
Local Machine, HOWEVER

2) after locating the Outlook directory in Local Machine the "limit" entries
did not exist therefore I couln't modify them but I could probably add them.

THE QUESTION IS..... If the entries are not set in the registry is there
anything telling Outlook that if non are set it will default to the 2 GB
limit for .pst's?

Hi,
try to search for the "MaxFileSize" key with F3.
I think the search will be find this key.

Yes, if the registry value is not present, Outlook uses its default settings, which are listed in the article you cited.

If you want to set a per-user policy setting, you need to use HKCU and create whatever registry keys and values are required.
