Always stay on top of updates but latest update KB832483
installs succesfully and even after rebooting when I
recheck it says that the update still needs to be
installed on my PC. Any ideas?

I've installed it 10 times, and when I 'View installation
history' it says it installed successfully. When I
check 'Add/Remove Programs' it is not there.

Any help is appreciated. Looks like there might be a
glitch in the update.

Are you running MDAC 2.8?

Install MDAC 2.8 and then apply the update.
