In Control Panel of WXP, >System>Advanced>User Profiles>Settings button, in
the window that opens there are around 1000KB associated with my profile as
administrator and 230MB associated with my profile as a user. I am the only
user of the computer and there are no other profiles.
Is the large disparety in KB and MB because so much of the operating system
is associated with me as the user, or is it because I have tweaked the
contents to such an extent to meet my needs (which I have)? Just curious.
Thanks. Peedee

No. This figure includes 'My Documents', 'My Music'.. etc. as these folders
are inside the profile.

With Outlook (express) in use it also includes email, which is often the
biggest taker of space if people mail a lot of attachments.

The size difference has to do with the user files in your profile.
Temporary internet files, documents, music, email etc. Look around in
each profile to see.

Thanks Rock and Ian. I appreciate your quick and informative responses.
