Kaspersky Version 4.5

Hi:

Anyone using the 4.5 version of Kaspersky.

Trying to decide on a new anti-virus program.

Wondering if Kaspersky has fixed the problems they were having with using
too much resources.

Any comments about the program would be appreciated.

Is NOD32 a better way to go?

Nod32 uses less resources, but doesn't have KAV's virus/malware
detection rate. By the way, KAV has a lite version.

Hi,

with no doubts, KAV is definitely excellent and rather reliable AV s/w. As
far
as resources are concerned, seems that v4.5.0.58 has fixed many problems.
There are announcements that v5.0 is to be even much better than 4.5, so I
believe it's worth installing 4.5 and than upgrade to 5.0 when it comes in.

Which KAV are you using? Personal /Personal Pro/Business? I think
Personal Pro is still 4.5.0.48 (also problem free)
