Kaspersky and fOSUserName

Just a quick warning to all -

I have various dbs that use the standard fOSUserName function from
http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0008.htm

It has started failing on me, returning a null string instead of user name.
I think that the culprit is that we are currently rolling out Kaspersky AV
across the network. Five machines with it installed fail, and five without
it are fine. If you are thinking of doing that, then be careful.

I'm waiting for a call back from their techies at the moment and will post
any further information when I get it. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it,
but if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it, then I'd be happy to
hear about them.

(I've never bothered cross-posting for myself before, so have no idea how to
do it. I think it might be useful if someone could circulate this to all
access ngs)

Just to confirm: the default installation of Kaspersky (in a network
situation) will block macro calls to apis. Solution is, in the admin kit,
change the workstation policy - Macros, Customise, Other, allow calling to
api function.

Thanks for the update, Rob.
