K8V Deluxe Ram question

Ok I have read all the post on what type of RAM to use but now I have
a difrent question.

I am going to be using the Corsair TwinX1024 3200LL.

Ok now for the question, the manual on where to put them gives me 2
options for DDR400, DIMM1 & DIMM2 or DIMM1 & DIMM3. Now what would the
best configuration be or does it not matter?

I belive you need to put them at least in 1. I have mine in 1 & 2 and its
running at 400mhz.
