i recently got criticized for not knowing kelly was a woman instead of a male. since i never heard a gender meantioned, i took a guess. i commented that kelly knew what she was talking about due to the intelligent answers she gives. i have recieved much help from knowledgable people on here but lately it seems many are out to criticize and take their petty anger out on people. sorry kelly, didn't know you were a woman. and whoever CS is, i can think of two ripe words that CS stands for. i am here to help and learn but lately all some do is slam others. it's really too bad and i know there will be alot of smart remarks but i will search elsewhere for help instead. thanks to the ones who truly help people.

Hi there (real name not known),

I, for one, find your replies to others, very helpful and hope they
continue. And don't feel bad about not knowing of my gender, I have been
known as one of the guys for years. <wink>

I thought that at first too when I first read your posts (tho long ago LOL), but you certainly are not one of the guys, just one of the best help providers here in the free realm of PC technical help :-).

Thank you very much, Tom. Your words mean a great deal to me! :o)

Well, you deserve those words and much more considering how these groups work on the time on the respondents. Knowledge is best shared without regard to the ego of one may gain material needs from it; rather one who is gratified from those who benefit :-).

By the way, congrat on the "Winny" award, and I need to know what that award menas ?

Very well said, Tom. :o) Each one, teach one!

Thank you!

What is referred to as the "Winny" award from Microsoft: This award is
given to one MVP with the most impact on a product group.

The XP list of MVP's is rather large:
http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/de...aspx?scid=fh;en-us;mvpaward&style=toc#faq3067

In my case for support and contributions to the XP Platform via the groups
and my site. The gift was 'very nice' and very much a surprise. This is
the first time, MS has given this award. It was and is quite an honor.

Recently Microsoft made awards to the ten MVPs seen as having made the
biggest contributions to support during the past year in different
Windows specialisations. Kelly won the one for this 'Shell/User'
category

Public Congratulations, Kelly

It's too bad that you've apparently decided to bail, this NG can
certainly use another helpful mind. If you're still reading please
continue to participate and do you best to ignore the stupidity of those
less fortunate than you.
