Fixed a Thinkpad this morning with a non-fucntional fan.

After I disassembled it, turned out to be a quality control label caught
in the blades!

"These blades inspected by #23"

I think that's why some of the inspectors use a black ink
stamp, to mark their inspection. As it won't come off.

The label had been placed on the chassis just below the fan and it had
come up and got caught...probably not a good place to put it

Once had a military high voltage power supply short out...cause was an
internal label which became loose....a metallic label, no less.

At least the label in the laptop was not metal.
