Is there a freeware program that will allow me to extract the music
sound tracks from a DVD?
Many thanks
Stuart
I use BeLight 0.21 from
http://corecodec.org/projects/belight/ to
convert from VOB to mp3, it's a frontend for BeSweet which you can
download from
http://www.free-codecs.com/BeSweet_download.htm.
First install BeSweet, after that put Belight in the same directory.
It creates one mp3 file for each VOB file so I merge those files with
mp3Merge but I can't find the location I downloaded it from. It
shouldn't be a problem to find another freeware mp3 merger.
I didn't find a freeware tool to extract the track information from the
IFO files. I manually create a CUE file with the time info copied from
IFOEDIT from
http://www/ifoedit.com and type the track names into it
from the DVD selection menu's displayed using DVD Shrink from
http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/.
I use mp3DirectCut from
http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html to create
seperate tracks from the merged mp3 files using the manually created cue
file and mp3tag from
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html to tag and
rename those created files.
If somebody knows a *freeware* program to create a CUE file from these
VOB and IFO files please let me know.
