Just did a fresh install part 2

First of all, thanks to everyone who helped me. 8^)

Now, just one more question. Should I go to microsoft and HP and get all the
pre-SP2 updates for my computer and drivers first, and then install SP2, or
should I just install SP2 before doing anything.

SP2 contains all previous updates from those in SP1 and later hotfixes.
 
Sorry, there's several come out since SP2 was released, so you'll have to
download those also via Windows Update.
 
So what I asked was correct? I just want to make sure this works so I don't
have to re-install again....
 
No, you weren't correct, you asked "Should I go to microsoft and HP and get

You only need to install SP2 + later released updates!
As I said - ALL previously released updates & patches are included in SP2
(i.e., everything in SP1, plus all critical updates which were released
prior to the release of SP2.
 
Check with HP first.. some computers require a patch before SP2 is
installed..
 
Sorry, I should have been more clear. Should I do the HP updates first?

Well I did all the HP updates and went to microsoft and installed the
automatic updates and everything seems fine so far...
