Just Curious

When I open a Windows page it seems as if it always opens in the restored
down state. Many times I resize pages to smaller sizes to make working
between them much easier. Afterwards, I simply click to maximize back to a
full screen. However, the next time I open Windows the screen opens at the
last restored down size. This never allows me a one click to resize my screen
- if I want Windows to open in a full screen at the next opening. So to keep
my screen opening in full screen size, I must drag my screens to the smaller
sizes, complete the task, then drag the screens back to the full screen size.
If on the other hand my screens opened maximized then with a simple one click
I could restore down the the smaller size, complete the task, then one click
back to full screen size. The Windows screen size has worked this way thru
95, 98, and now XP, so apparently how I used screen size makes me the odd
duck. However, I am sure I remember a selection in 95 where you set your
screen to always open maximized, but I was never able to find it again in 95,
and I never found anything like it in 98 or XP. It would be interesting to
know how screen resizing is used by others to make best use of the
maximize/restore down functions. Again, this is simply a curiousity, but all
ideas and comments anyone would care to offer will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, K.

I suspect that somewhere in there you've right-clicked, (perhaps a desktop
shortcut icon), then clicked on properties and changed the default "Run"
setting from "Normal Window" to a different setting.
