In FP 2000, is there a way to click, or hover over a
shared menu button, which in turn would then display a
bunch of sub menu items to pick from? And then the sub
menu items disappear when you are no longer hovering over
the button or if you click another button? I don't know
what those are called, but...can that be done in FP
without coding?

There are a number of scripts and/or programs you can get to accomplish
these menu features. The scripts may require some coding on your part but
many of them are pretty automatic. There are also some programs you can by
that make it much easier to add menus like this and some are not all that
expensive.

Go to www.hotscripts.com and do a search on menus and that should give you
a good start.

You can also do a google search on web menus or something similar. You might
want to refine your search with something like...

dhtml menus

or

javascript menus

Anyway.... hope this helps get you started.

I don't think there's a way to do it in FrontPage itself, but from the Microsoft site I discovered a program called AllWebMenus which is absolutely one of the cleanest, most intuitive and rapid ways to build and insert into Frontpage this kind of menu. You can find them at http://www.likno.com/ I can't say enough good stuff about this program, and I've been at it a long time and seen a lot of bad sh** out there.
