Just a point

Hi Dirk
I did *not* keep a list of those newsgroup posters
who offered to have my baby

Now there "is" a story. Maybe you will share one day ha ha ha.

I think I put in a post above that I wasn't looking for thanks - it was a
type of test that me and "the Mrs" did jus to see if anyone who had been
answered that day would respond.

Oh and as I said I put all my post through Word before I click send. There
are many errors I know but I do like ms word.

I don't take part in the Italian forum as I am now a fully fledge Englishman
(I think I will buy a bowler hat soon) - I do answer any messages in Spanish
French etc, that have been sent to this forum by error as I think people will
wonder why noone from the site has answered if someone does not.

I had have also read many of your answer and used quite a lot of your ideas
in some projects. So please do you and other MVP's keep "em rolling in".

As a matter of
fact, if MVPs are only getting thank yous 5 to 10% of the time, maybe the
MVPs should look into why Wayne's getting so many more. <g>

Cold and cruel <g>

Hi All,

Stilling drinking coffee so hopefully this makes sense....

I started asking questions in these newsgroups some time ago (I always tried
to remember to say thanks in my first eMail so that if I forgot at least I
got 1 thank you in there). But then I discovered I could answer some
questions so I did but hardly got any thank yous. Then something happened
that made me realize SOMEONE out there is watching and is thankful...

I answered a how to I start to create a database with a pencil and paper
(and good eraser) response and the writter 'blasted' me for being an idiot.
I don't remember who, might have been an MVP, (I did thank them) came to my
rescue and let the writer know that what I had told them to do was a
perfectly legimate response and a 'smart' one. Whenever I feel
unappreciated, I remember that instance.

A big THANK YOU to EVERYONE who ever answered a question for me or anyboday
else!

Dear Dirk:

As a frequent and very grateful receipient of your help I might say that I
*would* have offered to have your baby, but there is a biological issue...
;)

Cheers!

Dear Granny:

I always find it sobering to see the extent to which activity on the
Internet is so amenable to searching/analysis. It reminds me that I need to
be careful of what I say and do, since it will have a life of its own once I
press "Send".

Today I will remind all of my computer students and my own family of this,
and caution them again to take care in using the Internet!

Cheers!
Fred

Very wise advice!
