Junk mail filter stopped working

What might have been a reason for my junk mail filter no longer working, all
of a sudden - -

I even changed the setting for Junk Mail from Low to High.....still, it's
not filtering anything at all.

Sorry - I forgot to mention - it's Outlook 2003

Some people have reported a recent update might be the cause. Did you
update Windows or Office recently? Do you have OneNote beta installed?

I checked most recently and downloaded the last junk mail filter update -
and the message told me that a recent update already had installed this
update

I haven't done any updates within the last week (this just started happening
a couple of days ago), but I do have my system set up to automatically do
windows updates....the last Office update was done manually by me several
weeks ago (I blieve)
and - no - I don't have OneNote installed at all.

Thanks for the help - I'm getting overwhelmed with junk email (250 or more
overnight alone)

Try recreating the junk mail filter.

That seemed like a good idea - but when I got to the part where it said to
highlight and delete the Junk EMail Rule -
I didn't have an entry in the list with that name - - the closest I had was
Outlook Rules Organizer

any other ideas?

Thanks for helping - as it turns out - Detect and Repair finally did work -
I had never seen that before - when it had been mentioned earlier - I though
the person meant to search in Help for Detect and Repair -
Even if I had seen it, I would have thought it was for repairing the
mailbox - not something like this.
