JUNK MAIL BOX

Using Windows Mail. Junk mail box seems to have emptied itself.
I tend to hold onto some junk mail that may be of interest but can't be
bothered to read at that time. Obvious junk I delete from the junk mailbox.
Now the junk mail box is completely empty?
Has this happened to anyone?
Is there any way of recovering these emails?

Unfortunately they are not showing in deleted items either - just seem to
have vanished!
 
Go to tools/junk email options and check and see if it has a check next to
permanently delete junk email. If it does uncheck it.
