junk folder & pop3 accounts

Hi,
I'm running MS 2003 Server pro, and Exchange Server 2003. I have mailboxes
on the server that people pop3 into to get their mail.
The problem is that they can receive their mail in the inbox, but all the
mail that goes to the junk folder sits on the server and doesn't move.
Is there anyway for the junk mail to be sent when pop3?
There are no junk filters turned on.

You don't have the IMF installed on the server?

Why are they POPing their mail from Exchange? Why not use VPN or RPC over
HTTP to get the mail into Outlook? It's a MUCH better experience.

Thanks Ben,
I agree that they sould be doing that, but at the moment they are pop3 in.
What will IMF do though? Will it allow them to get their junk email?
Thanks

IMF is a spam filter which can put messages identified as junk into their
Junk E-mail folder. That could be why you're seeing the behavior you're
seeing.

As to your original question -- I don't believe POP3 will download any of
the subfolders on the Exchange server, no.
