junk email filter "rules"

I thought that somewhere there was a list of "rules" that Outlook (2003) uses
to determine whether a message is junk. I cannot find it. I would like to
add my own word combinations. Perhaps it is no longer available with 2003?

I see somethin similar in my McAfee SPAM Killer, but I don't use that as it
....well... I don't like how it "plays" with Outlook.

Don't bother replying about the rules as I have rules coming out the ears -
but thanks anyway.

Have tried a dozen times to update the junk Filter (Update for Outlook 2003
Junk Email Filter (KB873362)) thinking that it may have better filtering, but
it won't install.

Thanks in advance.

Outlook 2003 is Bayesian based and doesn't have a published list of
keywords. See http://www.slipstick.com/rules/junkmail.htm for rules
suggestions - Sue's low maintenance rules work very well if the built-in
spam filter set on high doesn't.

What error do you get when you try to install the latest spam filter
definitions? They have made great improvements to the definitions....

When attempting it with the full download I get an error 2902 -
ixfAssemblyCopy error.

When attempting it from the Updates wizard page, it just says that it was
unseccessful.

Thanks!

Diane,
While not everything in that link applied as it suggested (I use Pro not Std
version, & I installed Junk E-mail Filter (KB870765) on 9/16 NOT before
August) I did follow the steps of repairing my installation (which I could
have sworn that I did before??) and then ran the update wizard and it
installed successfully!

Thank you so much! Take care
