Jumping paragraphs

I am typing a report, but when I get half way down the
page, the next paragraph jumps onto the next page and I am
unable to 'pull' it back. Please can you help?
 
Click the "Format" menu and select "Paragraphs. Click the "Line and page
breaks" TAB and you probably have either or both "Keep lines together"
and/or "Keep with next" checked. Experiment to get the result you want.
