Jumping from a slide to show a movie & return

I have a presentation during where I am able to click on one of the images
to show a short movie clip.

This works fine but it would look so much better if it wasn't on top of the
slide.

Is there a way I can click on the image, jump to a blank slide to show the
clip and then return where I was?

Yes.
- Create your new slide and insert the movie on it.
- Set the animation to begin automatically
- Set the slide transition to Automatic and 2 seconds
- Hide the slide
- Create a custom slide show that goes to that 1 slide and is set to return
when complete
- On any slide, create a hyperlink (text or object) that goes to the custom
slide show
- Done.
