.jsp page not showing up in browser

hi.

currently have an issue with IE6 not showing .jsp page.
rather it goes to the url and loads the page, but nothing shows up except a
flashing cursor. if i click on this a drop down box (that is part of the
page) shows up and allows me to enter user name and password. still can't
see anything though as the page seems transparent.
when i hit enter at this point i can then see the drop down boxes of the
next page but again it is mostly transparent and if i select a drop down box
they work but dont refresh properly.

any idea what would cause this.
i can reach the same page from another PC on same network no problem.

running XP pro SP2 with all updates applied.

Try the following and see if it helps:

I can't see JPG's or GIFS any more - red x - images missing - fuzzy
images/distorted images
