Hi,

I have a W2K Terminal Server with Metaframe XP FR3 that doesnt show jpg
pictures in IE. IE6 SP1 with all updates. When I'm browsing pages some
jpg's shows up with the all to familiar red x. If I right click on the
picture and choose properties the Type shows as Not Available.
If I enter the URL for the pictures in the address bar, the browser will
show me the file as raw text.

Any ideas ?

Forgot to mention that jpgs also shows up as red x's in Outlook 2003 as
well. Have the same setup on 2 other terminal servers and they work fine.

As I dig further into this problem I also found out now that png files
doesnt show up either, but if I type the url in for png files I dont get
the raw text, just the red x.
I tried to reregister the png dll.
regsvr32 pngfilt.dll

But with no luck.

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

Don't mind me, I'm snipping everything so it's no difference if I bottom
post or top post...

Anyhow, try this link:
http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/redx.htm

There might be something there you've missed. That's what Google spit out to
the simple querry of "red x" + internet explorer and seemed to be one of the
best sites as I know the reputations of some of the contributers and the
answers there appear logical.

Thanks for the link, but I've gone through all of the suggestions
without any luck. I have a feeling that it is some kind of registry
corruption.

To add to the confusion, JPG pictures shows correctly if you use a RDP
client instead of Citrix ICA client.

Solved the problem by turning off the speedscreen function for the farm
in CMC.
