JPG File Copy Failure

While trying to copy, across my home LAN, picture files, every once in
awhile a picture will error out in the file transfer and I cannot copy it.

I get the error Cannot copy IMG_1234.jpg, access is denied. All other files
in the same folder copy OK. And I can copy the file locally on the same
computer from folder to folder.

It just fails copying across the network. Attributes for that file are the
same as all the other files in the folder.

And this same file fails on different destination computers. And the same
file has failed to copy when I did this a few months ago. Actually, there
are about a dozen files that exhibit the same behavior - and they are all
jpg.

ANy thoughts?

Did you have that file open shortly before trying to copy it across your
lan?

Maybe MSPaint or whatever was still holding it open.
