Hi Rose,

Word isn't able to open graphic file formats directly.
You can use Insert=>Picture from File for .JPG files and Insert=>Object to see the top page of a PDF file if you have the 7.05
version of Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader installed.

PhotoShop .psd files would usually need to be converted to another graphics file type before being usable through Insert=>Picture
from File.

You don't. You need Adobe Reader for .pdf files. The .psd files are opened
by Photoshop or Photoshop Elements (and perhaps others). The .jpgs can be
opened by many graphics programs.

Why would you try to open these files with Word?

I did a letterhead on Adobe Photoshop. My boss wants the letterhead on word
so he can put pictures and text on the letterhead and easy for him to email
the letter.

Then you need to save the letterhead as a file type that can be inserted
into a Word document.
