Joystick stops working from one day to the other

Hi,

i am using Vista Home Premium with a MS(!!!) Sidewinder Force Feedback 2
Joystick and MS(!!!) Flight Simulator X.

Everything worked fine until yesterday: Now, when I select the game
controller in system properties it still displays the joystick but when i
click on 'properties' is says something like "Error - support information not
found".

FSX crashes instantly when trying to change the control settings...

Any ideas?

Interesting - I suddenly have the same problem. FSX working fine under Vista
up until about a month ago, now system suddenly does not recognize Sidewinder
2 plugged in to USB. So, unable to use FSX because no joystick. Microsoft -
what is different?
