Journaling of outgoing website email

Outlook 2003 does not capture all emails into the journal. If I respnd to a
website mailto: field, Word 2003 opens as my editor. I then send the email
fine. But no record of this email shows up in my Outlook 2003 journal.

The journal correctly includes email received and sent from Outlook 2003
itself. But not in response to a website address. Why? I've checked all the
O2003 journal settings, and Word 2003 settings. Nothing seems to talk to
this. I've also searched the MS Knowledge Base, and found no help.

How can I make the Outlook 2003 journal capture ALL my email activity?

Thanks for your ideas.

Charlie

Such messages use the Simple MAPI interface, rather than going through
Outlook's programming interface, so all the Outlook features don't kick in.

The messages are recorded in your Sent Items folder, however. They'll appear
in the related contacts' Activities lists. You could also create journal
items from them manually or with VBA code (not necessarily an easy project).
