Can anyone please tell me if Journal Viewer is part of windows XP SP2. I know
it's an add in you download and install, but we didn't install it on any of
our machine.

Is it part of office xp media content or the XP SP2 ???

thanks

Windows Journal is a basic note-taking accessory that was created
specifically for the Tablet PC. You can use it to capture handwritten
notes and drawings, convert handwritten notes to text, import graphics
files, and share notes with others. You can even share journal files with
non-Tablet PC users by exporting them as MHTML files, which others
can view with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later, or by
exporting them as TIFF images for viewing with a viewer that is installed
by default on Microsoft Windows 98 or later.

This accessory enables users who do not have a computer running
Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition to view files that
were created in Microsoft Windows Journal on a Tablet PC.

It's nothing to do with Office. It's a Windows download, and was updated
for SP2, but not made part of the SP2 pack.

Thanks for the reply.

Carey;

Can you please let me know if this install is included in Windows XP SP2 ???
I know what Journal Viewer does, but what I don't know how we got it install
on our machines.

thanks

Windows Journal Viewer is not included with Windows XP
unless you have the Tablet PC version of Windows XP.

Actually the Journal viewer will not run on Windows XP Tablet PC
edition. It has the Journal application, but the viewer is designed for
off-Tablet use only.
