Journal received emails

Does the Journal automatically record emails received from contacts. I have
the feature turned on to auto record emails and it works for emails I send
and am wondering if it is supposed to also record received emails from these
contacts. It doesn't appear to be doing that at the moment.

open tools-options-jounral options, and select it on a per individual user..
pain in the ass
