Hi,

Is there any way to modify the automatic journal entries so the entire
file path is not inserted in the subject line?

I just don't think that's possible since Outlook internally creates the
automatic entries. Changing the form wouldn't help.

thanks, i was afraid that was the answer.

For what it's worth that would be a nice feature. since there is a
shortcut to the document it seems kind of silly to put the full path in
the subject.

A suggested fix would be to right align the text in the field.
Consider the following path:
D:\Documents and Settings\userhidden\My
Documents\00-Projects\sustaining\91_xxx\05_update\slides\03-Nav_Lab.ppt

If the subject field is too short for the full path all i might see is
"D:\Documents and Settings\userhidden\My"
and that is all I see for all journal entries.
However, if the text were right aligned I would see:
"\91_xxx\05_update\slides\03-Nav_Lab.ppt"
and each line would be unique.

Plus, I actually have network paths that are wider than can be displayed
in the field with 1024 resolution!
