Journal and activities

Why after setting up my contact activities to be recorded in a journal do
some contacts display all communications such as inbox, sent items, contacts,
and journal and some only display journal?
 
Hard to say without any steps to reproduce or any configuration information.
Note that you can set your Activities pane to show only specific items via
the drop down list above the Activities pane of your opened contact.
 
The drop down is set to show all items. The contact, as far as I know is
configured the same as all others, why it wont display e-mail items is a
mystery.
 
Thanks Roady,
I found that the contact had an additional e-mail account, once I added the
e-mail to the contact it pulled everything in.
