Jonathan can you help me?

I have two .net passports and have tried to run MSN Messenger 6 and
Windows Messenger 4, simultaneously .When I sign into Windows
Messenger it shows the .net passport account that I assigned for it.
When I try to sign on to MSN Messenger it shuts down Windows Messenger
and uses the Windows .net account to sign into MSN Messenger.

Conversely if I sign into MSN Messenger first it shows the .net
account I have assigned to it using a new hotmail account. This is
fine, except if I try to sign into Windows Messenger it uses the MSN
account info and then kicks me off MSN Messenger.

I have confirmed that both .net accounts exist and they are active -
why don't the two different messengers recognize the accounts that
they were assigned instead of both trying to use the account of the
whichever Messenger is first signed into?

Have any ideas - I have tried jacking around with Options in
both messenger programs but the problem continues.

Thanks for any guidance or insights.

Greetings Mary,

The only real solution for this is to remove your saved Passport information in Windows XP.
To do so, click the Start Button, then click the Control Panel. Then, click User Accounts in
the Control Panel. Select your account name, and then on the left side of the screen, under
Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network Passwords'. In the window that opens, click the
Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry and click 'Remove'.

Then, you can manually sign into whichever client you prefer and neither will automatically
log you on (therefore allowing you to use different Passport accounts in each).
