joining PDF pages (2 pages in !)

To economize paper, I'm looking for applications able to join 2 PDF
pages in 1 (e.g. 2 pages A5 format in 1 page A4 format) selected pages
or whole document. I have tried PDF tools http://www.sheelapps.com/
that our dear *scooter* has suggested, but its joining is incorrects,
because it cut the upper side of the page with first lines of text many
times. Can anyone suggest better software?

Install CutePDF from http://www.cutepdf.com/download.htm. It installs as
a printer driver and it gives you the option to print a PDF with
1,2,4,6,9 or 16 pages per sheet to another PDF.
