Joining Domain..

Guest

I previously had a Win2000 server (Domain Controller) for DNS and AD
services and a new Win2003 server as a member for Senior Systems. I have
built a new Win2003 Enterprise server, created new domain (new controller)
and migrated Active Directory from the source (Win2000). Now I have removed
the 2k server from the network added the 2k3 server and would like to join
the member 2k3 server to the new controller, however, I can't. I can't ping
the the controller, share folders or find the new domain on the network. Any
thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

If you can't ping by address then it is more than likely network
configuration, hardware or firewall issues. Turn off the firewall on 2003
and try again.
