joing xp to 2000 domain

Hi
When i try to joing a xp machine to a win2000 machine it
takes forever to logon. I know that logging in for the
first time takes a while but i have logged in about 5
times since then and it takes at least ten minutes and i
know my physical network is fine.

Set your XP machine's DNS server to be your domain's DNS
server (probably your domain controller).
