job offer: moving a website

I've got a buddy that gets a lot of website jobs. He does the PHP jobs, and
sometimes (like this) he hands me the ASP jobs.

This job involves a client that wants to move their website to a new host.
From what I've been told, their web host provider is charging them close to
$200 a month.

They want to move their site to a new system or host it themselves. They are
looking for options and pricing for the work and maintenance.

Is anyone here interested in doing something like this? I've looked at it a
little before. It has databases and some AJAX, and I just don't have the time
to sit down and become immersed in their project.

If you are interested, please let me know. They have SSL and a store front. I
wasn't able to spend time on it. I took a quick look at all of the files
after I FTPed them to my PC, and I just didn't feel like putting my off time
on that when I've got an 18-month old boy I'd rather spend my free time with.

The money just isn't that important these days.

That is pretty steep. I should hope they're getting a dedicated
server for that price. My host is charges abotu $10 a month and it's
pretty full featured(mochahost.com). What does this job entail? Is
it just finding a new host and pushing the site to it or what?

You'd have to be able to get their SSL and store front working along with
migrating their database to the new host.

I don't know much about SSL or e-commerce, so it would take me a very long
time to get this done.
