JEP - Deleting Archived Files

In my archived folders list I have my folders set to delete messages over 5
days old. It doesn't appear to be doing it and when I run a manual archive I
get this "Error while archiving folder "Archived folders" in store "Archived
Folders". The source and destination folder for this operation cannot be the
same." The way I have the archived folder set up to handle the operation is
Permanently Delete all files over 5 days old, not send it to another archived
folder. Do files have to be manually deleted from archived folders? Thanks
greatly in advance!

AutoArchive doesn't work for additional pst-files but only on the main
primary store. A manual archive should work but you should set a different
pst-file as the archive location even when you have all folders set to
permanently delete; the archive function doesn't know to to delete them
until you are actually running the archive function.

I think I understand. When Archiving the Archived Folders list, I directed
the deleted/archived files to a new file on the desktop I named
DeleteNow.pst. It did archive then and clear out the regular Archive Folders
according to the settings (5 days old) I have set. Then, I can terminate
Outlook and delete the DeleteNow.pst off the desktop. I hope this was close
to what you were saying! And thanks much!
