Javascripts not running

I'm running WIN XP with SP2. Suddenly java scripts won't run on my browser,
everything is set-up in Options OK (Java on etc). I've shecked for Spyware
with Ad-aware, all OK and any hijacking software with Hijack This all OK.
Very strange, even Windows Update page comes up as a blank page, Java is
running OK, (applet in system tray) but page is dead when clicking on any
Java link.
Tried running with no Firewall, still the same. Any help appreciated

Type REGSVR32 JSCRIPT in Start/Run. If that does not help, reinstall the scripting engine:

Go to Start/Run and type
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
then
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
SFC /SCANNOW
(you may need to press 'r' for retry many times)
Restart IE
then
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
