Javascript links and Active Desktop

Not quite sure which newsgroup this falls under so bear with me.

I am trying to use Active Desktop for a client's website. Their site has
several links that will open a new window using javascripts. When the page
is viewed in Active Desktop the javascripts do not work, a new window is
opened but it will not open the new web link. Does anyone know if
javascripts like this will work in Active Desktop?

Thanks,

I do think you'd be better off asking this in a web developer's group. Here
is a list of all the MS public newsgroups:

As an aside however, you would probably be best off not using Active
Desktop. It doesn't exist in Vista and it doesn't exist in non-MS operating
systems. Best practice when designing a public website (as opposed to an
intranet-only site) is to have it be more platform-independently viewable.
Tying your design to a soon-to-be obsolete proprietary MS function isn't a
good choice.
