javascript error

ok, i am having a big prob with my java script. when i go
to certain pages and click on something to open it it
doesnt open but at the bottom in the task bar it says
javascript substring corrupt or misplaced. what can i do
to fix this because it is a big problem Thanx in advance
for help!!!

I couldn't surf java sites either, even though I had java on my
system. I did not get an error message like you do though. My
problem was I had 2 versions of java running at the same time. When
installing, the newest version did not just overwrite or delete the
older one.

Oh, and I also had a 3rd java-realted version I had mistakenly
d-loaded - a java programmers program. I deleted that one too.
