Running IE 6.0 on XP system. IE frequently locks up and when I try to power
off I am advised that javascan is still running. What is javascan? Where
is it located - I have run a search and no such file. Do I need javascan on
my system. Any advice appreciated.
 
Javascan is what is used when a program from a website runs on your
computer. It is uses Java to do so. Online virus scan does that. Disable
any online virus scan and see what happens.

Is your Java Virtual Machine install correctly? Uninstall and reinstall it.
